Which crypto prop firms accept US residents, on which platform, and what you can trade there: five confirm it on their own pages.

Five of the nine firms we checked say on their own pages that they accept US residents: Crypto Fund Trader on Match-Trader, HyroTrader and Mubite on CLEO or Tealstreet, FundedNext on Match-Trader, and FTMO through FTMO US. For crypto choice, Crypto Fund Trader leads with 556 cryptocurrencies on Match-Trader; FTMO US offers a single Bitcoin instrument.

HyroTrader and Mubite

Both run on Bybit for most traders, but point US residents to CLEO, a platform priced from Binance market data; HyroTrader also offers the Tealstreet terminal. FundedNext

FTMO

US residents buy through FTMO US (ftmo.oanda.com), run with OANDA, on MT5 or TradingView. Rewards go to a US bank account. For crypto traders the catch is the list: one simulated Bitcoin instrument. Not excluded, or said elsewhere

Breakout does not list the US among its ineligible countries, and Kraken, its owner, says US clients can trade only crypto on its prop products. Bitfunded says it serves US traders in a blog post, while its terms and FAQ are silent. Unclear

BrightFunded does not restrict the US, but its MT5 and cTrader platforms are closed to US residents, and it does not confirm DXtrade for them. Klein Funding says it has no restricted countries, yet no page addresses US residents, and another of its FAQs says some countries are restricted.

What US traders should check

  • Bybit does not serve US residents, according to Mubite’s FAQ: pick Match-Trader, CLEO or Tealstreet instead.
  • Tax forms: FTMO US and FundedNext ask for a W-9 before the first reward, and FundedNext issues a 1099-NEC above $600 a year.
  • Rewards are income. Ask a tax professional how to report them in your state.
